INTRODUCTION

In accordance with the quality assurance framework established by the Higher Education Commission, the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Federal Government Polyclinic (PGMI), Islamabad has been established to ensure systematic monitoring, evaluation, and enhancement of academic quality.

The QEC operates under the academic oversight of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University and follows the quality assurance mechanisms prescribed by the Higher Education Commission, including Self-Assessment Reports (SARs), Review for Institutional Performance Enhancement (RIPE), and Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE).

These mechanisms support continuous improvement, transparency, accountability, and academic excellence in postgraduate medical education.
